Raise the Woof at Clearbrook's pet festival

Wags, whiskers, and whimsy, oh my! Grab your kids, pets and friends and join the fun at Clearbrook's second annual Raise the Woof Pet Festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in Melas Park, 1500 W. Central Road, Mount Prospect.

Some of this year's featured activities are a paw art T-shirt station, craft station, dog baths, most-excited-tail contest, look-alike contest, dog rally, food trucks, 2k pet walk, demonstrations, and visits from local pet retailers such as Tailchasers, Arlington Dog House and Save-A-Pet.

No pets? No problem. Raise the Woof has fun activities for the whole family like meeting new animals at the petting zoo, taking a pony ride, getting your face painted and flashing a smile in the photo booth!

General admission to the park is free. Some activity fees do apply. For more detailed information on games, contests, and costs of select activities visit www.clearbrook.org/RaiseTheWoof.

Family Activity Passes and Pet Activity Passes are available for purchase in advance or at registration and include access to various activities at the festival. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, contact MacKenna Atteberry at matteberry@clearbrook.org or (847) 385-5008.

Proceeds from Raise the Woof will benefit more than 7,000 children and adults with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other intellectual/developmental disabilities, as well as their families, supported by Clearbrook.
