Show your support at POW/MIA ceremony Sept. 18

On Friday, Sept. 18, the Carpentersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5915 is sponsoring a ceremony to honor the nation's Prisoners of War and Missing in Action at 6:30 p.m. at Veterans Garden in Carpenter Park, off Maple Avenue in Carpentersville.

If you have never been to a ceremony, please try to do so.

This will be the 28th year that ceremony has taken place. It is beautiful and touching and you can't help but go away emotionally moved.

Also, your attendance will demonstrate unified support and concern for all Prisoners of War and Missing in Action. There will be former POWs present.

Jack Hosey, who has been the chairman for all these years, puts everything he has into the program.

Refreshments will be served at the post after the ceremony.
