Arlington Heights Fire Department Open House Held Saturday, October 10

The Arlington Heights Fire Department Open House will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Fire Station One, located at 300 East Sigwalt Street, near Village Hall. Parking is available at the Village Municipal Garage.

The event recognizes Fire Prevention Week, which is October 4-10. The Fire Prevention campaign for 2015 is "Hear the Beep Where You Sleep: Every Bedroom Needs a working Smoke Alarm!" One of the goals of Fire Prevention Week is to educate everyone that installing and maintaining smoke alarms can save lives in the case of a fire.

The Fire Department Open House will include the Fire Safety House, equipment and informational displays, demonstrations, tours of the fire station, face painting, games and Sparky the Fire Dog. This is your chance to get a close-up view of the work firefighters do, the equipment they use and the place they stay while on duty protecting the residents of Arlington Heights.

Please join us at our Fire Prevention Week Open House on Saturday, October 10!
