Geneva

• Benjamin F. Gedmin, 25, of the 11900 block of Ellwood Greens Road, Genoa, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis at 12:06 a.m. Aug. 12 in a parking lot on the 800 block of Commons Drive, according to a police report. He had two pipes and between 10 and 30 grams of cannabis, police said.

Batavia

• Ivan A. Thompson, 19, of the 1100 block of Oak Crest Drive, North Aurora, was charged with retail theft at 12:29 p.m. Thursday at Menards, 300 N. Randall Road, according to a police report.

• Sandra Rivas, 23, of the 800 block of Fulton Street, Aurora, was charged with speeding and possession of cannabis at 2:30 a.m. Friday on Kirk Road near Wind Energy Pass, according to a police report.

Kane County

• Andrea J. Gober, 46. of the 5400 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or greater, no insurance, failure to reduce speed and improper lane use at 3:03 p.m. Thursday after her vehicle struck a utility pole on the 4N200 block of Burr Road near St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report.

• Two flat-screen televisions, a laptop, jewelry and $3,900 cash were stolen between 5:30 and 11:15 p.m. Aug. 22 after someone broke into a home on the 33W0-99 block of Toni Street near St. Charles.

• Someone ran over a tree on the 50W700 block of Ramm Road near Maple Park between 10 p.m. Aug. 25 and 7 a.m. Wednesday, causing an estimated $500 damage.

• A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a bar on the 1300 block of Mitchell Road in Aurora Township sometime between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20.

• A resident of the 0-99 block of East Windsor Court near Aurora reported a case of identity theft in which someone opened a Best Buy account and charged $1,958 at a store in Dunwoody, Georgia, between Aug. 16 and Thursday.

• A specialized hood, spoiler, titanium valves and other specialty parts were reported stolen at 10 a.m. Aug. 25 from the 900 block of Main Street near Batavia. The total loss was estimated at $6,575.
