The Values of Group Learning at The Music Room

If you or your child always wanted to jam in a rock band, or learn how to play guitar or Ukulele, The Music Room in downtown Palatine is now enrolling now for group classes, starting the week of September 14!

Group classes provide a valuable experience for students of all ages. Whether you're enrolling as a supplement to private study or as an alternative, group classes provide a wide range of benefits.

Inspiration through peer performances, motivation through healthy competition and a platform for social interaction are just a few of the rewards studying music in a group can bring.

Group classes highlight new talents and the best in students through the challenge of cooperation while providing an environment that encourages the development of functional skills.

Students develop and enhance poise and performance skills, critical listening skills through listening to others, and musical understanding by hearing and studying a broad range of musical styles.

Rhythmic security and counting ability develop through ensemble playing in an environment that encourages the development of functional skills, as well as communication skills and the ability to work in a group. Group classes also provide a social outlet, surrounding a common interest. Exciting performance opportunities are also a part of group classes.
