Even with his no-hit effort against the Los Angeles Dodgers and 17 wins to lead the majors, Cubs starter Jake Arrieta doesn't lead ESPN's Cy Young predictor rankings. Those rankings give additional points to players on division-leading teams, and the Cubs are third in the NL Central.
Arrieta is 17-3 on the season with a 2.11 ERA and 190 strikeouts in 166.5 innings.
Here's a look at the other contenders for the National League Cy Young Award:
Trevor Rosenthal: The 25-year-old St. Louis Cardinals righty reliever has a 1.52 ERA in 59.1 innings with 68 strikeouts and 41 saves.

Mark Melancon: The 30-year-old reliever for the Pittsburgh Pirates has pitched 63 innings and posted a 1.71 ERA in 63 innings with 44 strikeouts and 43 saves.

Michael Wacha: The ace for the Cardinals, he has posted a 15-4 record with a 2.69 ERA and 134 strikeouts in 157.1 innings.
