Mortgage relief seminar Sept. 10

The state attorney general's office, the Illinois Housing Development Authority and state Rep. Michelle Mussman will host a mortgage relief seminar from Thursday, Sept. 10, to help those struggling to pay their housing costs.

The event will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Park Branch Library, 1266 Irving Park Road.

The attorney general's office will highlight available services and provide legal assistance for attendees with questions about their mortgages. The Illinois Housing Development Authority will inform residents about various initiatives, including a program to make homeownership affordable for new homebuyers and veterans.
