Lombard Garden Club Travels to Botanical Garden and Waits for Corpse Flower to Bloom

Friday, August 28, over 20 members of the Lombard Garden Club traveled to the Chicago Botanical Garden to observe the "Corpse Flower," and hope that the flower would bloom while they were observing it. Even the giant bud impressed the garden club members as they pushed through the crowd to get a good place for viewing. All the Lombard Garden Club members on the Chicago Botanical Garden trip had a narrated ride on the Botanical Garden tram and then ran back into the green house to see if the "Corpse Plant," had bloomed. Not yet!
