Spend Labor Day swimming, hiking or shooting hoops with the Schaumburg Park District

Whether it's one last dip at Bock Pool, splashing indoors at The Water Works or exploring Spring Valley, Schaumburg Park District facilities offer plenty to do for the Sept. 7 Labor Day holiday.

Hours and activities include:

• Open swim, 12:30-7 p.m. at Bock Pool, 1223 W. Sharon Lane (last day of the season) Admission is $4 for youth residents ages 3-17, $5 for youth non-residents, $5 for adult residents and $7 for adult non-residents.

• Open swim, from noon-4:30 p.m. at The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Admission is $5 for youth residents ages 3-17, $7 for youth non-residents, $7 for adult residents and $9 for adult non-residents.

• Open basketball, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road. Non-member cost is $5 for youth residents ages 17 and under and $7 for youth non-residents.

• Trails and exhibits are open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Admission is free. Heritage Farm is closed on Labor Day.
