Lake Zurich Rotary to meet Friday

Ela Township's clinical social worker, Roberta Smith, will speak to Lake Zurich Rotary Club members Friday, Aug. 28, about how to overcome your mood to always feel prepared to do great things. The Rotary Club meets at 12:15 p.m. for lunch at DiPiero's restaurant, 17 E. Main St. (patio entrance), Lake Zurich. Smith offers a support group at Ela Township for people coping with depression, anxiety, anger, stress or other mood difficulties. At Friday's luncheon, she will concentrate on aspects of cognitive behavior therapy that help with mood and how various thoughts on same event cause different emotions and actions. Smith is employed by Ela Township to help township residents with difficult personal and family situations. She also has a private social work practice in Cary.
