'Race to Paris' author to speak at Lincolnshire library

New York Times best-selling author Meg Waite Clayton shares her latest novel, "Race to Paris," at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at the Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Road, Lincolnshire. The book follows two female American war correspondents who have been denied access to press camps and the front during World War II, as they race toward Paris to record its liberation from the Nazis. The book is inspired by the real women who defied military regulations and gender barriers to report on the war, they endured enormous danger as they race for Paris across the perilous French countryside.
