Fall rummage sale set for Sept. 10-12 at St. James Church

Savvy shoppers will have an extra few hours this year to snap up some good bargains at the St. James Episcopal Church's annual fall rummage sale scheduled for the second week in September.

For the first time, the church will open its doors to browsers and buyers alike on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for an "Early Bird Special" shopping night.

The regular rummage sale hours will resume on Friday, Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Shoppers can choose from a great selection of new and gently used clothing, kitchen and house wares, china and glassware sets, jewelry, books, DVDs, CDs, games, Halloween items, Christmas and other seasonal decorations and more. All items will be clean and in good working order.

A Kids Corner for children will feature clothing, books, toys, videos and DVDs as well as child care and educational items. Our traditional French Room will carry quality home goods, gift wares, clothing and holiday items for your special celebrations.

Then, take some pastries, cookies and other culinary delights home with you from our Baker's Shelf that will offer a variety of home-baked goods. And while you're shopping, try your luck at raffles for great prizes that will be held throughout the rummage sale days.

If you have donations, please drop them off at the church only on Monday, Sept. 7, and Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.

Paint, toiletries or any item not clean or in good working order will not be accepted.
