Learn about property tax appeals at Des Plaines library
The Cook County Board of Review and local legislators will host a property tax appeal seminar Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Des Plaines Public Library.
Residents of Maine and Elk Grove townships are invited to bring their property tax bills, paperwork from any appraisal performed in the past 18 months, and a closing statement if the house was purchased within the last year, according to a news release from state Rep. Marty Moylan.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at the library, 1501 Ellinwood St.
The review board opened its appeal period for Elk Grove and Maine townships on Aug. 17. The period ends Sept. 15.
