HCE, U of I Extension present health insurance class for seniors

ST. CHARLES - Questions surrounding health insurance have multiplied since the Affordable Care Act passed. Now that it is nearing full implementation, questions persist about "how does it affect me?"

The upcoming University of Illinois Extension program "Health Insurance for People 65-plus" addresses how Affordable Care Act affects people 65 years and older.

In addition, the lesson will explore options in Medicare coverage and how the ACA affects Medicare.

This free seminar is provided in cooperation with the Association for Home and Community Education and led by Extension Educators via distance technology, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the presenter. The class will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the University of Illinois Extension office at 535 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

There is no cost for this workshop, but preregistration is required by Friday, Sept. 25 for materials to be prepared. Seating is limited.
