Kane County Cougars fall to Quad Cities

The Kane County Cougars (37-17, 73-49) dropped their first series at home since early June as the Quad Cities River Bandits (34-20, 79-43) edged the second game of the series 6-5 on Saturday.

Eric Peterson earned his second hold of the season and Angel Heredia tossed his ninth save of the year.

The Cougars and River Bandits will wrap up this series Sunday. Left-hander Josh Taylor (3-2, 1.49) will toe the rubber for the Cougars against Quad Cities' Brock Dykxhoorn (7-4, 3.42). First pitch from Fifth Third Bank Ballpark is scheduled for 1 p.m.
