Three charged with burglary at Aurora home
Three men in their teens have been charged with residential burglary in connection with the Monday break-in at a home on the 1800 block of Diamond Creek Lane in Aurora, authorities said Friday.
Police said the men took roughly $2,100 worth of cash, electronics and other items. They are being held in Kendall County in lieu of $100,000 bond.
Charged in the burglary are Grantham Williams, 19, of the 22300 block of West Odessa Court, Plainfield; Kendall Parker, 18, of the 13600 block of Kittyhawk Court, Plainfield; and Robert Pannell, 18, of the 1700 block of Arbor Lane, Crest Hill.
Aurora police are crediting Oswego investigators for the break in the case.
Aurora detectives were contacted on Tuesday after Oswego police found apparent burglary proceeds they could not trace on four men they had in custody for burglary, authorities said.
Aurora detectives were able to tie the items into the incident on Diamond Creek Lane and interviewed the four men. Based on information obtained during the interviews, they were able to gather enough evidence to present their case against three of the suspects to the Kendall County state's attorney, who authorized the charges.
