MainStreet Libertyville holds last Out to Lunch event of season

MainStreet Libertyville held its final Out to Lunch event of the season Friday in Cook Park.

The annual event kicked off in June, serving up lunch options from up to 10 local vendors. Various bands and musical artists provided the entertainment each week. The Sipos & Young Band took the stage Friday.

MainStreet Libertyville's Executive Director Pam Hume said the event offers a diverse selection of food, which included two new vendors this year.

"We were fortunate to have nine Fridays of no rain. We also introduced a couple of new local bands to the lineup, which were well received. Attendance was good," Hume said.

MainStreet Libertyville also used the event to promote shopping and dining downtown by raffling off a $25 gift certificate each week.

"As far as next year, I don't see any major changes," Hume said. "An afternoon in beautiful Cook Park where you can enjoy food, music and friends - who could ask for more?"
