Palatine teen with brain tumor to meet Cubs

Watch the Cubs game Saturday afternoon, and you might see 15-year-old Palatine native Justin Davis having one of the best days of his life.

Justin will be the game's honorary bat kid, which means he'll get a chance to do something he said he's always wanted to do - meet the Cubs.

"I feel so lucky to be able to be doing this," Justin, the Palatine High School sophomore, said.

Justin was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2010 and underwent surgery to help limit his persistent headaches. His "bat kid" opportunity came through Advocate Health Care, one of the Cubs' sponsors.

Justin is looking forward to meeting Anthony Rizzo, his favorite player, who has fought his own battle with cancer. Justin's mom, Stephanie Davis, said their whole family - Justin's twin brother, Joshua; his sister, Stacie; and his father, Jack - will be at the game and are as excited as he is. If that is possible.
