Enjoy live music in a beautiful setting with the Schaumburg Park District

Breathe in fresh air and listen to calming notes as evening settles in at Merkle Cabin.

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy live music at the Schaumburg Park District's Concert at the Cabin from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Sept. 12 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.

The music will begin at 6 p.m. under the shelter of the wooded grounds. There will be a wagon shuttle from the Nature Center parking lot to the cabin.

"Not only does the music performed by the all-volunteer band sound great, it carries on an American tradition of concert band performances, which often took place on a village square or in a local park on summer evenings," said Dave Brooks, manager of conservation services.

Picnic fare and beverages will be available for purchase. Guests are invited to bring their own food. Picnic tables are on site.
