Successful Woodland golf outing
Gurnee-based Woodland Educational Foundation held another successful fundraising golf outing, officials said. The ninth annual event was at Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and raised about $23,000. Organizers said it was the foundation's most financially successful golf fundraiser. The foundation pays for student needs not covered with public money at Woodland Elementary District 50. "I'd like to acknowledge and thank everyone who participated in this event that generated funds for our students and staff," said foundation President Patricia Termini. "We are so deeply grateful to our supporters who donate their time, resources and dollars to this annual gathering."
