Harvest Pow Wow celebrates Native American culture

The festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at the living-history museum, 523 S. Webster St.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can hear the sound of Native American drumming, watch dancers in native clothing and shop at booths from more than 30 vendors.

Items such as turquoise jewelry, beads, baskets, drums, blankets, hides and moccasins, as well as native food will be available.

The highlight of each day's activities - the grand entry of all the dancers - will be at 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, with special exhibition dances throughout the weekend.

He was a former member of the award-winning musical group Brule and has had some notable acting roles in movies such as "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Pirates of the Caribbean," and in TV roles on "House of Cards" and "Hell on Wheels." Two VIP meetings with Plenty will be offered at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
