Grayslake library offers program on solving student debt

Student debt is the topic of a presentation by investigative journalist John Wasik at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Grayslake Area Public Library, 1000 Library Lane, west of Route 83 in Grayslake. More than 40 million people have accumulated more than $1.2 trillion in student debt. Wasik offers advice on how the loans can be paid back or forgiveness obtained. Wasik is a Grayslake resident, speaker and author on investing, retirement and protecting your money. He has covered investing and personal finance for more than 25 years, has won 19 awards for his work and has written 13 books. The program is free but require registration by calling (847) 223-5313, in person or online at www.grayslake.info.
