Mount Prospect-area man admits exploiting teenage girl
A former employee for Northwest Compass, a Mount Prospect agency providing services for people in need, pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting a child, court records show.
Ricky Fecht, 56, of an unincorporated area near Mount Prospect, was sentenced to 137 days in jail and one year of probation in exchange for pleading guilty to the misdemeanor, court records show.
Fecht was also ordered to pay $289 in fines.
Prosecutors say Fecht met the 16-year-old victim in January. She began volunteering the next month for the organization, which provides housing, child care, job training and food to those in need.
In March, the girl's friend, also a volunteer, overhead Fecht tell the girl she was sexy, prosecutors said during Fecht's bond hearing in March. The girl later told another friend Fecht molested her, prosecutors said.
