Waukegan man with dementia reported missing

The Waukegan Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the report of a missing 80-year-old man who suffers from dementia.

Randall Hutchinson was reported missing Sunday, Aug. 9, at 8:13 p.m. by his family, Waukegan police said in a news release today.

Detectives confirmed Hutchinson was en route to the Battery Giant at 5338 Grand Ave., Gurnee. A short time later, the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority confirmed Hutchinson exited I-294 at the Willow Road Toll Plaza.

He drives a gold Toyota Camry with the Illinois license plate of K790 990. If anyone sees Hutchinson or his vehicle, they are asked to call 911. If anyone has information regarding Hutchinson or his whereabouts, they are asked to call Waukegan Police at (847) 599-2608.

Hutchinson's family has told police he suffers from dementia. There is a possibility he could be headed toward the greater Indianapolis area, police said.
