Crespo to Host Back-To-School Backpack Giveaway

STREAMWOOD, Ill. - State Rep. Fred Crespo, D-Hoffman Estates, is teaming up with Cook County Commissioner Timothy Schneider, Hanover Township and AT&T for a Back-To-School Backpack Giveaway on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at Laurel Hill Elementary School, located at 1750 Laurel Avenue in Hanover Park.

"Our annual backpack giveaway helps ensure that local children are able to enter the new academic year equipped with the supplies they need to succeed," Crespo said. "Education is such an important and empowering tool for our future leaders, so I am thankful that we are once again able to offer this unique service to local families."

Township youth, enrolled in kindergarten through sixth grade will be eligible to receive a free backpack filled with school supplies, while supplies last. Attendees are asked to bring proof of Hanover Township residency, such as a government issued ID, utility bill or bank statement.
