Cover-up of Benghazi scandal still an issue
Some of what Martha Tuohy mentioned in her July 24th letter is true. Simply put, she has missed the point of the controversy on Benghazi attack.
The lack of the U.S. being prepared for the attack as well as the inability to respond to the attack have been beaten to death. The cover-up is the most reprehensible part of the scandal and still needs to be dealt with.
Remember, the attack happened in very close proximity of the 2012 presidential election. The state department and the Obama administration were reluctant to call the incident a "terrorist" attack.
This led to the television appearances by Ambassador Rice in which she claimed the cause of the incident was a reaction to the amateurish movie called "Innocence of Muslims." We now know this was a lie as internally the administration knew the attack stemmed from terrorism.
From here, the tangled web of deceit continued to grow. The (missing) email controversy has just added a new layer of deviousness to the saga.
There is no way that I could ever trust Hillary Clinton to be president of the USA.
