Aurora man suspected in several armed robberies

Naperville police have announced the arrest of a suspect in two local armed robberies, in addition to robberies in North Aurora, Warrenville and Darien.

Nathaniel J. Noble, 18, of the 2700 block of Preston Court in Aurora, is being held at the Kane County jail, where he is facing charges of aggravated robbery, robbery, armed violence and aggravated assault in an unrelated North Aurora case.

The first robbery occurred about 3:40 a.m. July 21 at the Mobile gas station at 1304 Plainfield-Naperville Road, while the second occurred about 2:10 a.m. July 22 at the BP Amoco at 2888 Book Road.

Police said Noble committed additional armed robberies were committed about 3:30 p.m. July 22 at the Speedway gas station at 8301 Lemont Road in Darien and about 3:10 a.m. on July 26 at the Speedway gas station at 3S405 Rt. 59 in Warrenville.

Investigators had Noble under surveillance at 2 a.m. Wednesday when he robbed the 7-Eleven store at 2 S. Lincolnway in North Aurora at gunpoint and was arrested outside the store, police said

Noble was carrying a BB gun, police said. The clerk was not injured.
