COD Offers 'Autism Speaks' Series This Fall

College of DuPage will offer a series of free presentations on topics relating to autism this fall at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

All presentations are held at 7 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000. The sessions are designed to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Presenters will speak on a variety of topics, including success in adulthood; relationships and sexuality; biological and genetic research; behavioral and biological treatment options; personal triumphs; therapist perspectives; and teaching interventions.

"We received a grant to develop a mentor program and speakers series, bringing some of the top experts on autism to College of DuPage," said COD counselor and Professor Michael Duggan. "This free series will cover a variety of topics that are important for both our students and community members. We hope many people will take advantage of the great resources offered through this series."
