St. Stephen's Family Fest Friday and Saturday in Des Plaines

St. Stephen Protomartyr Church is holding its 13th annual Family Fest Friday and Saturday, July 31-Aug. 1.

The fest begins at 6 p.m. Friday at 1280 Prospect St., Des Plaines featuring local food vendors, rides and games for children, and more than $3,000 in raffle prizes. The festival runs until 11 p.m. Friday and from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday.

Musical entertainment on Friday includes Rick 'Elvis' Saucedo at 8 p.m., and on Saturday includes Galina Dance Studio at 2 p.m., Sol Azteca Dancers at 3 p.m. and Triple Shot at 8 p.m. with their famous mix of '50s, '60s and '70s pop rock.

A petting zoo and pony rides will operate from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, while craft and specialty vendors will be selling goods from 12 to 8 p.m.
