How to avoid senior scams topic of Des Plaines seminars
Two seminars on how seniors can avoid scams and fraud are scheduled for next week in Des Plaines.
State Rep. Marty Moylan and U.S. Bank are co-hosting the free presentations, which will focus on so-called sweetheart, lottery and Western Union scams.
The first seminar is at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, and the second at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 Northwest Highway.
