AC Rock featured in free concert series

The Hoffman Estates Arts Commission and the Hoffman Estates Park District will host Chicago's premier a cappella quartet AC Rock at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, as part of the "Summer Sounds on the Green" concert series.

AC Rock sings classic rock 'n' roll favorites from the '50s through today. Their unique musical approach brings the past, present and future together in perfect harmony.

This concert is the sixth in a series of eight summer shows. All performances take place at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green, 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway, across the street from the Sears Centre Arena off Route 72, in the Poplar Creek at 59/90 "Entertainment District".

Admission is free. Bring a blanket and picnic to the amphitheater. If you are bringing a picnic, do not bring glass bottles, glasses or glass containers for the safety of barefoot patrons.

Levy Restaurants will be selling a variety of food, including pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos and gluten-free snacks at the concession stand. Beer, wine and mixed drinks will also be available for purchase.

For more information, including directions and parking details, call (847) 252-5448 or visit the Arts Commission website at www.hoffmanestatesarts.com.
