Bulldog's Cellar to celebrate grand opening weekend, ribbon cutting

Those looking for a fresh spot to enjoy a cool beverage and some tasty food can head down to the recently opened bar and grill, Bulldog's Cellar, at 1 E. Wilson St. in Batavia right on the Fox River.

Join new owner Jason Keller at the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by the city of Batavia, Batavia Chamber of Commerce and Batavia MainStreet, at 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 31.

"We are excited to be welcomed by the Batavia community and their Bulldog Spirit," said Keller, which changed ownership about a month ago in the former RendezVu building. "We have been working hard on remodeling and bringing in some new features including a new dance area and two 70-inch flat screens for our upstairs space."

Bulldog's Cellars is looking to partner more with the community by offering a location to host local charity events, private parties and a gathering place for sports teams, that they are interested in sponsoring.

The bar and grill hopes to offer live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights along with different themed events including poker, wine and art, country night and even karaoke.

Bulldog's Cellar is open from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays; 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturdays; and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays.

The kitchen will now be open from 4 until 10 p.m. nightly Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Information is available by calling the restaurant at (630) 406-9177 or on Facebook under Bulldogs-Cellar-Bar-Grill.
