Bartlett cites six during commercial truck safety stop

The Bartlett Police Department last week cited six truck drivers for violating weight limits during a commercial truck enforcement stop on Devon Avenue near Leiseberg Park.

Commercial trucks were stopped as part of an initiative between Bartlett police, Illinois State Police and the Illinois Department of Transportation, to ensure drivers are following safety and road guidelines.

Police also cited one driver for disobeying a "no truck traffic" sign, and state police ordered three commercial vehicles out of service for safety violations.
