The Holmstad's 38th annual bazaar returns Oct. 3

Wrap up your holiday shopping early by stopping in at The Holmstad's 38th annual bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in the community's Town Center, located at 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.

The Holmstad is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.

Among items for sale this year are fine homemade goods and crafts, including glass fusion pieces and Christmas cards, jewelry, artwork, woodworking items, books, plants and more.

Browse through a variety of gift ideas, like those gently used items found at our This 'n' That shop, and take home some homemade baked goods.

A professional basket weaver will demonstrate the Nantucket style basket weaving and a 73-inch by 47-inch napping quilt made by the Holmstad Piece Makers will be auctioned.

While on campus, peruse The Holmstad's Gift Store and Home Store for gently used furniture. Take a break from shopping to enjoy a light lunch available for purchase without reservations.

The Holmstad Residents Association sponsors the Holiday Bazaar each year. Profits contribute to the association's financial support of various causes throughout the year, including college scholarships for graduating high school seniors employed by The Holmstad; the Good Samaritan Fund and The Benevolent Fund to assist financially challenged residents; the Batavia Public Library; and the Batavia Fire Department, to name a few.

Admission is free. For more details, visit www.TheHolmstad.org or call 877-226-7310.
