Trellis Farm to host pet wellness clinic

Trellis Farm and Garden, 2N492 Kirk Road in St. Charles, will host a pet wellness clinic on Saturday, Aug. 1.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., staff from the Just Animals Shelter will be providing affordable vaccinations and services for your dog or cat.

Services include rabies vaccines, heartworm tests, flea and tick preventatives, FIV/FELV test for cats, microchipping, deworming and basic exams. Pricing starts at $12.

Just Animals is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter in Mazon, Illinois. All of its funding comes from donations and fundraisers. The shelter takes in hundreds of stray, abused, neglected and surrendered animals every year. Since its opening in 1997, they have saved thousands of animals. In 2009, the shelter started its wellness clinic, where the goal is to provide the best medical and emotional care for animals.
