New support group focuses on memory loss

The newest free Family Alliance Support Group begins this month.

If you are caring for someone living with memory loss, this group can offer you an opportunity to exchange practical information; problem solve; share feelings confidentially; socialize and form new friendships; share ways to cope with stress; develop realistic expectations; and learn to care for your own health.

If you are a person living with memory loss, this group can offer you an opportunity to meet with experienced facilitators available to support your individual needs while you socialize, stimulate your thinking, and participate in activities.

Beginning July 28, the group will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Huntley location, 12555 Farm Hill Drive, Huntley. While the support group for the caregiver meets, they will offer an activity for the person living with memory loss, if desired.

Call (224) 654 6300 to register.
