Little Kids, Big Trucks and Big Savings!
Hey kids! The Addison Park District is hosting its annual Touch-A-Truck and Kids' Toys & Garage Sale. These two events will be happening at Centennial Park on Saturday, August 8th from 10 a.m. until Noon. Touch-A-Truck is for all ages and free for the entire family! The Garage Sale is for kids ages 5-12 with a parent. In order to get a table there is a $9 fee for residents and $14 for non-residents.
Touch-A-Truck is great opportunity for kids to sit in the driver's seat of a fire truck, police car, tractor, school bus, and many other big trucks. They will be able to explore these vehicles inside and out and ask the respected owners questions. There will also be a helicopter on site, be sure to come check it out!
Make some money to buy something you have always wanted at the Kids' Toys & Garage Sale. Clean out those closets and get rid of the old toys, books, and other things that no longer have any use. If there is anything left after the event, gently used toys can be donated to the Addison Park District for use in the childcare, preschool and youth programs. Register for one 8 foot table to display your items today.
The Addison Park district is committed to providing the highest quality recreational opportunities and open space for everyone. The 2015 Fall Fun Guide will be delivered to the homes of Addison residents on Friday, August 14. If you do not receive your copy, please call the Park District administrative office at (630) 233-7275 and provide your home address for delivery. Additionally, the brochure will be available in each facility and online at www.addisonparks.org with a full curriculum of leisure activities for all ages and lifestyles.
