Stericycle 2Q revenues up 11 percent

LAKE FOREST - Stericycle Inc. said recent acquisitions helped drive revenues for the second quarter of 2015 up 11.7 percent for the same period in 2014.

The company reported revenues of $74.9 million, an increase from $640.8 million in the second quarter last year. Acquisitions contributed approximately $58.9 million to the current period's growth in revenues, the company said in a statement. Revenues increased 15.9 percent compared to the prior period when adjusted for unfavorable foreign exchange impact of $27.3 million.

Gross profit was $304.8 million, up 10.7 percent from $275.3 million in the second quarter last year.

For the first half of 2015, revenues were $1.38 billion, up 13.9 percent from $1.21 billion in the same period last year. Acquisitions contributed approximately $145.2 million to the current year's growth in revenues. Revenues increased 18.1 percent compared with the prior period when adjusted for unfavorable foreign exchange impact of $50.4 million.
