AID gets $20,000 grant from The Community Foundation of the Fox Valley

The Association for Individual Development recently received a $20,000 grant from The Community Foundation of the Fox Valley.

This gracious contribution, coupled with other gifts, will enable AID to furnish its JAN-AID employment program with new vans.

The JAN-AID program is an on-the-job training and competitive employment program for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness living in Kane and Kendall counties who are interested in a career in the custodial field.

New vans will enable members of the work crew to reach job sites safely and in a timely manner.

The Community Foundation of the Fox Valley is a philanthropic organization that administers charitable funds from which grants and scholarships are distributed to benefit residents of Aurora, the Tri-Cities and Kendall County.
