Former Arlington Heights trustee Daday to lead Metropolis board

Arlington Heights Village President Tom Hayes has appointed former village trustee Steve Daday as president of the Metropolis Centre for Performing Arts board.

Daday will join fellow Hayes appointee Colleen Ungurean on the new seven-member board that was created as part of a plan aimed at reviving the struggling downtown theater.

"I look forward to the challenge. It's going to be a wonderful experience and I look forward to moving forward," said Daday, who served as a village trustee from 1989 to 2005.

Hayes, who will selected three of the Metropolis board's seven members, said he will be making his third appointment in a few weeks.
