Bargain hunters head to Barrington for Sidewalk Sale Days

Bargain hunters were out in force Thursday in Barrington, as one of the village's most anticipated events of the summer, Sidewalk Sale Days, got underway.

Retailers spanning from the village's downtown to the Ice House Mall to the Shops on Lageschulte Street and The Foundry Shopping Center are offering deals indoors and outside during the three-day event, which continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Along with the sales, shoppers on Thursday could check out the Barrington Farmers Market on Park Avenue and visit the newly renovated White House, where they could take in musical performances by Agnes Krueger Scholarship recipients.

John Meehan and his son, Aidan, 9, of Fox River Grove check out the sports items Thursday at Barrington's Sidewalk Sale Days. The three-day event continues Friday and Saturday in various locations of Barrington. Mark Welsh/mwelsh@dailyherald.com
