Chevelle bringing alternative to Naperville Last Fling

American alternative band Chevelle will perform on Sunday, Sept. 6, at the Naperville Jaycees Last Fling end-of-summer celebration in downtown Naperville.

The band will take the stage at 8 p.m. at the base of Rotary Hill along the Naperville Riverwalk, 440 Aurora Ave.

Chevelle, founded in 1995, includes Peter Loeffler on lead vocals and guitar, Sam Loeffler on drums and Dean Bernardini on bass and vocals. The band has released seven full-length albums since 1999 starting with "Point #1" and leading up to "La Gargola" last year.

Chevelle has sold more than 4 million albums in the U.S. and made it to the Billboard Top 200.

Tickets to hear Chevelle are $20 at lastfling.org or $25 at the gate.

The band joins other artists including Daughtry, Lita Ford and Jack Russell's Great White among the list of performers at the Last Fling festival, which runs Sept. 4 through 7.

Performing Friday, Sept. 4, are Bon Jovi tribute band Bad Medicine at 5:30 p.m., Jack Russell's Great White at 7 p.m. and Lita Ford at 8:30 p.m.

Daughtry will be the headliner at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5.
