All-female cast in Shakespeare's '12th Night' in Waukegan

Three Brothers, in association with the city of Waukegan and sponsored by the Waukegan Arts Council, announces its first outdoor production of Shakespeare's "12th Night" on three weekends in August.

"12th Night" will run Aug. 7-8 and 14-15 at The Stiner Pavilion at the Waukegan Municipal Beach, 201 E. Sea Horse Drive, and Aug. 21-22 at Three Brothers Theatre at 115 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. Performances times are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

"We wanted to provide Lake County with something different this year," executive director Josh Beadle said. "When we were brainstorming potential ideas for the 2015 season, we jumped on the idea of doing Shakespeare outdoors. The revival of outdoor productions led by The Public in New York has created a beautiful trend where people can experience live theater and wonderful weather simultaneously."

Beadle said the show will feature an all-female cast with many local actors, including Shannon Campe and Lizzy Haberstroh from Libertyville, Marjury Mejia from Waukegan, Shannon Day and Miranda Bishop from Vernon Hills, and rounded out by Debbie Banos, Bellisant Corcoran, and Maddie Pell from Chicago.

Tickets are $10 for general admission. call (319) 621-0024 to reserve tickets or purchase at the box office. Visit Three Brothers Theatre online at 3brostheatre.com.
