Team Run for Nature looking for runners for Naperville Marathon

Lace up your running shoes and support the environment by joining Team Run for Nature in the Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 8. This team's efforts benefit The Conservation Foundation, a Naperville-based non-profit dedicated to preserving open space and natural lands.

Team Run for Nature still has room for more runners. To register, go to The Conservation Foundation website for details and to set up a personal fundraising page with the required minimum goal of $250. Once your page is set up, call Chere Hayes at (630) 428-4500, ext. 117 for your race registration code to receive a discount for joining the team.

The race winds through the scenic neighborhoods and downtown streets of Naperville. Choose from a half marathon (begins and ends at Naperville Central High School) and a marathon (begins and ends at Naperville Central High School and is a 2017 Boston Marathon qualifying race).

Team Run for Nature members receive a team performance shirt and charity runner race bib, eligibility for awards, and also will enjoy Charity Village amenities that include pre- and post-race stretching and massage, and gear check valet.

The Conservation Foundation is one of the region's largest and oldest private conservation organizations, with more than 4,000 members and donors, and more than 500 volunteers who contribute 20,000 hours per year.

Work is focused in DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will Counties to preserve and restore nature in your neighborhood. Find out more at theconservationfoundation.org.
