Cardinals stage late rally to edge Chicago White Sox

You can't blame John Danks for the Chicago White Sox' latest loss.

Widely viewed as the weak link in the Sox' starting rotation, Danks pitched 6.2 scoreless innings against the Cardinals Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Danks exited with a 2-0 lead, but St. Louis rallied against the White Sox' bullpen in the eighth and won 3-2 while sweeping the two-game interleague series.

The Cardinals loaded the bases against reliever Zach Duke with two outs before closer David Robertson came on to face Yadier Molina.

On a 2-2 count, Molina hit a Robertson fastball into the right-field corner for a bases-loaded triple.
