DuPage County Fair opens five-day run in Wheaton

Workers were putting the finishing touches on the DuPage County Fairgrounds Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday's opening of the five-day celebration in Wheaton.

The grounds for the 61st annual fair will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily at 2015 Manchester Road, with the carnival beginning at noon Wednesday and a performance by singer Michael Lynch at 7 p.m. in the Grandstand Arena.
