Lita Ford, Great White on Naperville's Last Fling stage

Longtime rockers Lita Ford and Jack Russell's Great White will take center stage Sept. 4 during the Naperville Jaycees Last Fling celebration in downtown Naperville.

Ford is a founding member of The Runaways, one of the first girl groups to break down barriers in the punk era. When the group broke up, Ford continued with her own career recording hits such as "What Do You Know About Love," "Kiss Me Deadly," and a duet with Ozzy Osbourne, "Close My Eyes Forever."

Russell, meanwhile, co-founded the band Great White in 1982. The band's biggest hit, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," went double platinum in September 1989. Russell formed his own version of the band in 2011 when he split with co-founder Mark Kendal.

Also scheduled to perform Sept. 4 is Bad Medicine, a band formed in 2001 by lifelong Bon Jovi fan Joe Frasca. The band still performs mainly Bon Jovi songs, but has added others in recent years.

Ford will perform at 8:30 p.m. on the main stage at the foot of Rotary Hill along the Riverwalk. Jack Russell's Great White will perform at 7 p.m. and Bad Medicine at 5:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are on sale for $10 through Sept. 3; $15 on the day of the concert. Tickets are available online at www.LastFling.org.
