Canine Carnival is a Party for You and Your Dog

The Palatine Park District presents the annual Canine Carnival on Thursday, July 30 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. This special event is a carnival designed just for dogs and their owners.

This year's event will feature games, the woof walk, an Instadog selfie station, paw print painting, complimentary raffles, a souvenir photo of you and your pet, and much more. In addition to these activities sponsored by Palatine Park District, a wide variety of vendors will be on-site to share canine information and their love of dogs. This year's gold level event sponsors include A Closer Bond Dog School; ABC Plumbing, Cooling and Electric; Bentley's Corner Barkery; Best Friends Total Pet Care; Costco-Schaumburg; d'Vine Wine & Gifts; Daily Herald Media Group; Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital; Jewel-Osco; Kriser's - Natural Pet; Loving Care Animal Hospital; Michele's Loving Pet Care Service; Midwest Canine Massage; PNC Bank; Puppy Love Pet Care, LLC; Save-A-Pet, Inc.; Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices - Sue Gould; Structural Balance Holistic Bodywork Studio; Tailchasers Incorporated; Unleashed by Petco; Usana Health Sciences - Chris Goeller; and Whole Foods Market-Kildeer.

All dogs in attendance will receive one complimentary entry into the prize raffle. Prizes have been donated by the event sponsors. To receive a second complimentary raffle entry, attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of pet food or pet supplies for the Palatine Park District Service Committee's 4-Legged Food Drive.

All dogs must be leashed and accompanied by a handler age 16 and over, and dogs must be wearing a current rabies tag to participate. The fee is $6 per dog with a handler through July 29 and $8 per dog the day of the event. Pre-registration is preferred and is available online at www.palatineparks.org using program number 340030-01. Registration can also be completed by mail or in person at Community Center, Falcon Park or Birchwood.
