Toe-tappin' Bluegrass Jam at Dickson-Murst Farm Sunday

Music will fill the air at Dickson-Murst Farm in Montgomery during the annual Bluegrass Jam on Sunday, July 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This free event is fun for the entire family and features homegrown bluegrass music from members of the Northern Illinois Bluegrass Association pickin' and strummin' under the shade of the century-old barn.

Lend your voice to the open mic, see an art display courtesy of the Kendall Arts Guild and enjoy a vintage car show, all while munching on vittles available from the Country Kitchen.

Tour the farm grounds and learn about the solar panels which provide about half the farm's electrical needs.

It's recommended visitors bring a chair to set a spell and enjoy the afternoon.

Dickson-Murst Farm is at 2550 Dickson Road in Montgomery, between Galena Road and Route 30.
