Pink Heals Tour brings smiles to Presence St. Joseph Hospital

The Pink Heals fire truck helped lift spirits at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin on Friday, July 17. Cancer survivors, patients, caregivers and staff signed their names and added notes of courage and remembrance in honor of those fighting cancer and those who have passed on.

Volunteers drive the Pink Heal trucks around the country to raise awareness and show support for women fighting cancer. The Elgin Fire Department helped organize the local tour which included a stop at a patient's home to hand deliver flowers.

The program, which is funded 100 percent by the sale of merchandise, brings a community together based on the love of women, caregivers, and their families.
